Transport & Getting around

We recommend staying in or close to Óbidos for our wedding! A perfect fall out base for all the events we've got plannend for you.
​
Óbidos is about 50 min drive from Lisbon - it's also possible to reach Óbidos by taxi or by bus (if you need help with getting there please reach out to us!)​
​
We recommend arriving before or on Friday 4th of July - we'll host a welcome aperitivo with food at 17:15 o'clock in the court yard of the Castelo de Óbidos (see itinerary).
​
On Saturday, we've also arranged a shuttle service departing from Óbidos to bring you to the ceremony in Quinta do Sanguinhal (15 min drive) and back to Óbidos in the (late) evening.
​
If you want to use your own car, there are parking options near the Quinta!
Accommodation

There are many accommodation options in Óbidos, for all budgets. It's also possible to arrange a holiday house for a larger group around Óbidos. Please reach out to us if you would like advice or help with setting up accommodation! Do look into accomodation ahead of time as early July marks the beginning of the "high" summer season in Portugal.
We've also reserved rooms at the following two hotels at a fixed, discounted rate.
Do arrange your accommodation ahead of time - all reserved rooms that are not booked by the end of April will be released and will become available at market rate!

Dress Code
Festive & formal attire!
As it's Summer and it's Portugal, we would encourage you to celebrate our big day with vibrant colors. Dinner and dancing will be inside so we recommend to go all the way with the outfit!
Ladies
Midi / long dress, or formal jumpsuit.
Vibrant colors preferably, no white or black.
We recommend taking an (extra) pair of comfortable heels / shoes for later in the evening.
Gents
Formal suit or blazer and dress pants.
(no sneakers)
